Preventive care that addresses concerns before they become problems, for every member of your family.

Our Preventive and Essential Dental Care Services

Your first visit is a chance for us to get to know you and your smile. We use photos, X-rays, and a thorough clinical exam to understand your oral health fully, so we can recommend care going forward.

NEW PATIENT EXAMS

Professional cleanings remove what brushing can't: hardened tartar, buildup below the gumline, and surface stains. Routine cleanings every six months are best for a healthy smile.

dental cleanings

From fluoride treatments to dental sealants, we use proven preventive tools to protect your teeth before problems have a chance to develop. Small steps now mean fewer procedures later.

Preventive Care

Early detection saves lives. We include a thorough oral cancer screening as part of your regular exam — a quick, painless check that gives you and your family real peace of mind.

ORAL CANCER SCREENINGS

We love seeing little ones. Our team creates a calm, gentle experience from a child's very first visit, building the kind of positive relationship with dental care that lasts a lifetime.

NEED TO SEE A DENTIST RIGHT NOW?

We care for even the youngest members of your family. From a toddler's very first exam to the teenager who needs a little more reassurance, we see your whole family, and we love it that way. Our practice is calm, welcoming, and set up to make children feel safe and at ease from the moment they walk in.

We recommend bringing children in by age one, or within six months of their first tooth appearing. Starting early helps us catch any concerns young, build familiarity with the dental chair, and set the foundation for healthy habits that carry through adulthood.

For children who feel nervous, we offer gentle techniques and sedation options to make sure every visit is a positive one.

We care for even the youngest members of your family.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How often should I come in for a cleaning and checkup?

For most patients, every six months is the right rhythm. If you have a history of gum disease or are more prone to buildup, we may recommend coming in every three to four months — not because something is wrong, but because more frequent care keeps things stable and simple.

What actually happens at a dental cleaning?

We'll help you remove plaque and hardened tartar from all tooth surfaces — including the spots your toothbrush can't quite reach — then polish your teeth to remove surface stains. If you're due for X-rays, those will be taken and reviewed by us as part of your exam. Most appointments take 45 to 60 minutes.

What's the difference between a regular and a deep cleaning?

A routine cleaning is preventive, which helps to maintain healthy gums and remove buildup above the gumline. A deep cleaning, also called scaling and root planing, is a therapeutic treatment for active gum disease. It goes below the gumline to remove deposits from the root surfaces and help the gum tissue heal. We'll always explain clearly which one you need and why.

My child is really nervous about seeing the dentist. What do you do for kids?

We understand. Our team is experienced with anxious children and uses gentle, child-friendly communication techniques to help them feel safe. We take things at their pace, use distraction and positive reinforcement to make it a fun experience for them, and never rush. For children who need a little extra support, nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral sedation are available.

What counts as a dental emergency?

If you're in pain, something has broken, or you've had a tooth knocked out — that's an emergency and you should call us right away. We also treat sudden swelling, a lost filling or crown, or anything that feels urgent to you. When in doubt, please call us. We'd rather hear from you and help than have you wait it out.

I haven't been to the dentist in years. Will you judge me?

Not even a little. We see patients at every stage, including some who've kept up religiously and some who are coming back after a long gap. What matters is that you're here now. We'll do a thorough assessment, explain everything we find, and work with you to build a plan that feels manageable.
